Gunns also has its own radiata pine plantations in northwestern Tasmania. Wood from this resource is supplied to two pulp mills in Tasmania, as well as a particle board mill. Sawlogs are also produced. Some are supplied to domestic sawmills, but most are unsuitable for domestic processing, and are exported, primarily to Korea, where there is a large market for low-grade sawlogs. Areas from which radiata pine has been harvested are being replanted with eucalyptus plantations.
